MARCELLUS -- Services for Clarice A. Adams, 74, of 214 S. Jones St., who died at 6 a.m. Sunday in Dowagiac Nursing Home after an illness, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Marcellus Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and after 7 p.m. Tuesday in Romig Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Altar Society, of which she was a member, or to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Adams was a registered nurse at Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac, prior to her marriage. She was born April 14, 1913, in LeMars, Iowa. On Sept. 21, 1943, in Dowagiac, she married Dr. Uriah M. Adams. He survives with two daughters, Margaret Wetherell of Baldwin, Mich., and Mary West of Paso Robles, Calif.; three sons, George of South Bend, John of Lancaster, Pa., and James of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; five sisters, Celeste Campbell and Melita Amundsen, both of Denver, Colo.; Charlotte Angelo of Arvada, Colo.; Margaret Puetz of Spencer, Iowa, and Florine Cornett of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and two brothers, Cletus Nemmers of Arvada and John C. Nemmers of Littleton, Colo. She was a charter member of the church.
