Chester S. Lukaszewski, 73, of 319 Carimona St., died Thursday (Nov. 20, 1986) in the emergency room at Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Winona on Dec. 3, 1912, to Peter and Anna Prondzinski Lukaszewski. He and Viola Walch married on April 17, 1941, in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church, Winona.
He was founder and partner in the Standard Foundry until his retirement in 1978.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church; the Serra Club; the Athletic Club and its 24-Hour Club; the Polish Heritage Society; the Polish Museum; St. Mary's Cemetery Board of Directors; and St. Stanislaus Parish Council.
Survivors include his wife, Viola of Winona; one son, Charles Lukas of Downers Grove, Ill.; two daughters, Ann Frederiksen of Dallas, and Mary Lukaszewski of Minneapolis; three granddaughters; and two sisters, Loretta Wantock of Wabasha, Minn., and Felicia Thilmany of Winona.
One sister and one brother have died.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rev. LaVern Trocinski officiating, with preliminary services at 1:30 p.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Bob Meier, Ted Bernatz, Steve Sadowski, Jerry Rozek, Joe Jeresek and Tom Thilmany.
