Former Plainview Man Fatally Hurt in Detroit Mishap
Plainview, Minnesota, USA — (Special to The Republican-Herald) — Arnold John Feils, 29 year old, former resident of this area, died In Detroit, Michigan, USA, Thursday afternoon, 26 October 1939, from injuries he received when he was run over by a truck there last Tuesday, 24 October 1939. He was employed In the automobile industry in the Michigan city of Detroit, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Feils of Plainview, Minnesota, USA, and the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Mat Siebenaler of Plainview, Minnesota, USA. About a month ago, while returning to his work, after a vacation here, he was the driver of an automobile that ran over and killed a nine year old child at Elkhart, Indiana, USA. He was not responsible for the accident, authorities held. Mr. Feils is survived by a wife and a nine week old child. He was married here about two years ago, and was widely known throughout this section. Plainview, Minnesota, USA, relatives had not learned today when the funeral would be held. |

Mrs. Albert Labiskey and Mrs. Jesse Gleasmer entertained at a parcel shower in honor of Miss Rosetta Siebenaler at
the Labiskey home Thursday afternoon. Miss Siebenaler received a large number of gifts. At 5 o'clock a lunch was served. Rosetta Siebenaler, ArnoId Feils Wed in Plainview Church
Plainview, Minnesota, USA. (Spell to The Republican-Herald) — Miss Rosetta Siebenaler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Siebenaler, and Arnold Feils, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garret Feils, were married Tuesday, 28 June 1938, at I0a.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic church in Plainview, the Rev. T. F. O’Connor reading the nuptial high mass. The bride wore a gown of white satin with princess lines. Her veil was of tulle and fell from a halo effect cap to a long train. She carried an arm bouquet of tea roses with calla lilies In the center. She was attended by Mr. Fills’ sister, Miss Musetta Feils of Rochester who wore a floor length gown of blue marquisette with a large leghorn hat with blue trim and carried an arm bouquet of yellow tea roses. The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Leo Siebenaler. Clement Siebenaler and Harry Erding were ushers. The bride and bridegroom have lived In the community all their life and will make their home on a farm six miles southeast of here.
