BIOGRAPHY: Anton Mullenbach was born on October 3, 1805 in Meuspath, Germany to John Joseph and Anna Maria (Burgraf) Mullenbach. On February 13, 1832, Anton married Anna Catherine Halpmann in Nurburg, Germany. Anna was born on January 22, 1813 in Bruck, Germany to Arnold and Anna Appolonia (Schloesser) Halpmann. In May 1852, Anton and his family embarked from Liverpool on the ship Hess, arriving in the city of New York on June 18, 1852. The family settled near Marytown in Fond du Lac County in Wisconsin where they purchased 40 acres of land from Herman Pommerich for $230.00 on July 10, 1852. Anton purchased another 120 acres of land between 1855 and 1861. On May 23, 1877, Anton sold his farm to his son Jacob Mullenbach for $4000.00, and he lived there until his death on June 9, 1887. Anna died on February 16, 1882.
