| Note | Sister Michael Walch - Rochester ROCHESTER - A funeral Mass for Sister Michael Walch will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes at Assisi Heights, with the Rev. Jack Krough officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Sister Michael, 82, a Franciscan sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes, Rochester, who served in domestic care, died Sunday (Sept. 3, 2000) at Assisi Heights. Annabelle Theresa Walch was born March 27, 1918, in Minneiska and entered the Franciscan Congregation in 1940 from Immaculate Conception Parish in Oak Ridge, Minn. She made profession of vows in 1943 and began her ministry in domestic care at St. Mary's Parish in Sleepy Eye. She ministered in various Minnesota parishes, including Rochester, Adrian, Johnsburg, Ellsworth, Austin and Winona, and in Ironton, Ohio. From 1977 to 1993, she was assigned to St. Mary's Parish in Sleepy Eye where she served as a Title I teacher's aide. In 1993, she retired to Assisi Heights and celebrated her golden jubilee that year. Survivors include her Franciscan Community; a sister, Sister Renata Walch of Assisi Heights; and a brother, Michael Walch of Altura.
