Marion A. Kasperek, age 86, of Blue Earth, formerly of Wells, Faribault, Minnesota died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, Blue Earth, Minnesota. Memorial Services will be held in Blue Earth at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Catholic Cemetery in Wells, Faribault, Minnesota.
Marion A. Kasperek was born October 31, 1921, the daughter of Jesse and Gertrude (Miller) Rasmusson in Dunbar Township, Faribault County, Minnesota.
She attended rural school thru 8th grade. At age 14 she was hired on to help in homes doing cooking, cleaning, and caring for children. On July 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to Edward F. Kasperek in Wells, Faribault, Minnesota. Marion worked cleaning homes for many years. She enjoyed her family, her friends, reading, and taking walks.
She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, and most recently a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, Faribault, Minnesota.
Marion A. Kasperek was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward in 1979; sisters Donna Satre, Alice Bruckhoff, and Gladys Rodahl; brother Helmer Rasmussen, and son-in-law Henry M. Schimek, and five brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her 6 children: George (and wife Judith) of Greenville, NC, Gerald (and wife Teri) of Wichita, Kansas, John (and wife Janice) of Eagan, Minnesota Mark (and wife Shelley) of Shorewood, Minnesota Jean (Bill) Paul of Blue Earth, Faribault, Minnesota and Mary Whalen of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren: Michael Kasperek, Sheila (and husband Tom), Paul Kasperek, Daniel Kasperek, Katie Kasperek, Kyle Kasperek, Cortney Kasperek, Jody Schimek, Jeremy Schimek, Angela Whalen; step grandson Eric (and wife Nina) Paul; step great grandson Marley; sisters: Ethel Aspenson of Wells and Emma Sears of Wisconsin. |
