Beverly Mae Miller
1930–2017
OWATONNA—Beverly Mae Miller, 86, of Owatonna, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at her home.
Beverly was born July 26, 1930 in Albert Lea, Minnesota the daughter of Carlos and Doris (Nielsen) Holleschau. She graduated from Freeborn High School in 1948. She then worked at the Freeborn Egg Hatchery in Albert Lea. Beverly married LaVerne Miller on May 12, 1973 in Owatonna and in their union had a daughter, Linda. Beverly was a stay at home mom, caring for her 12 children, along with helping on the family farm.
Beverly loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her dog, Reese. She enjoyed caring for her chickens and feeding calves, driving around on her “mini truckâ€, mowing lawn on her John Deere riding lawn mower, driving her 1964 Chevy Impala, attending dances at the ballroom, along with watching and listening to polka music and shows. Beverly also raised a beautiful flower garden, strawberry patch and vegetable garden.
She is survived by her husband, LaVerne Miller; 12 children, Linda Miller, Mike (Louise) Stenzel, Stephan Stenzel (special friend, Karen Gigikos), Ken (Cheryl) Stenzel, Doris Ulrich, Dee Ulrich, Marilyn (Darrell) Weber, Russ Stenzel, Pat (Dale) Seykora, Tom (Cheryl) Stenzel, Tonya (Keith) Ingvaldson, and Tim (DaNae) Stenzel all of the surrounding area. 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 grand pet, Reese; sister, Lola Eastlund of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harlan Holleschau; brother-in-law, Charles Eastlund; sons-in-law, Hans Ulrich and Bob Ulrich; nieces, Vicki Qualley and Lisa Fittante.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Owatonna with The Reverend John Sauer officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
