| Note | Richard Robert "Dick" Stenzel, age 84, of Wells, MN, died Monday, February 10, 2020 at Parkview Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be Friday, February 14, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, a prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Greg Havel officiating.
Richard Robert was born September 19, 1935 the son of Alex and Amelia (Bushlack) Stenzel in Dunbar Twp., Faribault Co., MN. He was a 1954 graduate of Alden High School. Dick was united in marriage to Barbara Wacholz on June 8, 1961 at St. Theodores Church in Albert Lea. Dick was a farmer all his life. He was on the Alden Coop Elevator Board and served as a FSA Director. Dick was a lifetime member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, and a lifetime of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed a good game of cards, shaking dice, being outside and polka music. Dick was also an avid MN sports fan, watching the Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves, PLAY BALL!
Dick is survived by his wife Barb of Wells, MN; children: Lisa (Scott) Bute of Alden, MN, Linda (Glen) Enser of Alden, MN, Ruth (Don) Suchomski of Wausau, WI, Andy (Deb) Stenzel of Alden, MN, Cindy (Todd) Tarras of Winona, MN, and Nancy (Brian) Hensch of Farmington, MN; 12 grandchildren: Sarah (Matt) Dulitz, Sr. Maria Carmel (Nicole Bute), Alex Bute (fiancé Ashton Larson), Monica Bute, Natalie Enser, David (Keli) Enser, Carrie Enser (Matt Larson), Michael Suchomski, Daniel Suchomski, Emma (Alex) Pederson, Ethan Hensh and Amelia Hensch ; 15 great-grandchildren Lily, Jacob, Olivia, Lucas Dulitz, Aria and Hudson Bute, Ashton Springer, Gracie, Ramsie, Sophie, Edison, Hazel and Mabel Enser, Tyler and Allie Larson; brothers: Art (Janet) Stenzel and Dan (Betty) Stenzel all of Wells, MN; sisters-in-law: Jean Stenzel of Wells, MN, Myrna Sens of Rosemount, MN and Lolene Mikolajczyk of Tempe, AZ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Clem Stenzel; in-laws: Dick and Judy Wacholz and Robert "Mike" Mikolajczyk. |
