Teresa Walters, age 57, of Mapleton died on Wednesday, October 19 at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Mapleton with Rev. Brian Sutton officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mapleton. Teresa was born on July 18, 1954 in Winnebago to John and Jean (McCormick) Staloch. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1973. On October 19, 1974, Teresa was united in marriage to Terry Walters at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnebago. She was a stay at home mom for many years. She worked at Country Neighbor's in Mapleton and more recently at Skiddles Day Care. Teresa enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening, and reading. She also enjoyed living in the country. Teresa loved spending time with her family, especially her dog, Willow. She is survived by her husband Terry, of Mapleton; children, Tim and his special friend Michelle, Jesse, and Emily all of Mapleton; grandchildren, Christopher and Christina; siblings, Mike Staloch of North Mankato, Margie Hanenberger of Winnebago, Kathy Kuhns of Mankato, Pete Staloch of Mapleton, Bob Staloch of Winnebago, Mary Barker of Winnebago, and Patty (Jason) Gullord of Frost; sisters-in-law, Jeannie (Whitey) Hill of Elysian and Janet Smith (Dave Johnson) of North Mankato; brothers-in-law, Jerald Walters and Jerry Walters both of Minnesota Lake; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and mother and father-in-law.
