Jean Patricia Staloch (March 17, 1925 - July 5, 2010) Jean Staloch, age 85, of Winnebago died on Monday, July 5, 2010 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winnebago with Father Mark McNea officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary service starting at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. www.spencerowen.com Jean Patricia Staloch was born at Meeker County on March 17, 1925 the daughter of Henry and Mary-Ellen (Okeefe) McCormick. She was baptized and confirmed at Saint Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Jean graduated from Dassel High School in 1942. After High School she worked at a poultry shop for a year. She moved to Mankato where she worked as a telephone operator. On April 8, 1947 she married John Staloch of Winnebago at Saint Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. They lived on the family farm north of Winnebago; John passed away on January 30, 1997. They shared 49 years of marriage. Jean loved cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, music and taking bus trips to the old log theater. She and her husband enjoyed vacations to California, Las Vegas, South Dakota, and South Padre Islands. They enjoyed going up north on fishing trips and trips to Wisconsin. Jeans first love was God and her Church. She was an active member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and Rosary Society until her health began failing. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family deeply. Blessed be her Memory. Jean is survived by her son, Mike Staloch of Mankato; daughter, Margie Hanenberger of Winnebago; daughter, Kathy Kuhns of Mankato; son, Pete Staloch of Mapleton; daughter, Teresa (Terry) Walters of Mapleton; son, Bob Staloch of Blue Earth; daughter, Mary Barker of Winnebago; daughter, Patty (Jason) Gullord of Frost; 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 brothers; Lawrence, Frances, Pete, Steve, James, Bernard and Donald whom died in infancy, 3 sisters; Susan, Mae and Margaret.
