The Stenzel Family

Melvin was born November 20, 1944, in Blue Earth, the son of Arthur A. and Luella E. (Kuchenbecker) Boettcher. He was raised and educated in Blue Earth where he was a 1962 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He worked at Juba's SuperValu during and after high school for 27 years, many of those years as produce manager. He had been a lineworker for Telex Co. for the past 11 years. He lived on his family farm near Blue Earth all his life until moving to Elmore in 2001. He was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Elmore and enjoyed fishing with his family, coin collecting, woodworking, bird watching and playing with & teaching his many nieces & nephews how to hunt & fish. Melvin is survived by his mother, Luella Boettcher of Blue Earth, brother, Marvin (wife Carol) Boettcher of Elmore, sister, Marilyn (& husband Bernard) Sweet of Mankato, brother, Mervil (& wife Virginia) Boettcher of Alden, sister, Margaret "Maggie" (& husband Kenneth) Nagel of Delavan, nieces & nephews: Dennis Boettcher, Todd (& wife Cassandra) Boettcher, David Boettcher, Greg (& wife Michelle) Boettcher, Kelly Boettcher, Tammy Sweet (& husband Allan Hruby), Kristine (& husband Ryan) Fisher, Chuck Hanson, Candy (& husband Jeff) Zabel, Tanya Nagel, Mindy Nagel and several great niece & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father- Arthur in 1993. Melvin, and his generous heart, will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
