Theresa Joan (Stenzel) Pritchard, age 76, of Minnesota Lake, MN, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, MN. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a 7:00 Rosary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Father Eugene Stenzel will officiate and burial will be in St. John?s Catholic Cemetery, Minnesota Lake, Faribault Co, MN.
Theresa Joan Prtichard was born December 26, 1931, the daughter of Theodore and Sophia (Hainka) Stenzel in Minnesota Lake, MN. She attended Minnesota Lake public school. On May 8, 1957, Theresa was united in marriage to Donald Pritchard in Minnesota Lake. She worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, and for the Mankato Paper Box Company until her mother died, then Theresa moved back to Minnesota Lake. She had worked for Valley News in Mankato, MN for 38 years, retiring 11 years ago. Theresa enjoyed her family and outings with her friends. She always had time for coffee, food and visiting. She was an active bowler and dancer. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary as past president, a member and current president of the Foresters, and the Minnesota Lake Legion Auxilary. She was also a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, of which she was very active for many years. Theresa enjoyed chauffeuring her friends where they needed to go, and also going out to eat.
She is survived by her sister: Katy Erdner of Wells, MN; brother; Bernie (wife Gloria) Stenzel of Florence, CO; 4 sisters-in-law: Teresa Stenzel of Albert Lea, MN, Patricia Stenzel of North Mankato, MN, Mary Stenzel of Mankato, MN, Violet Stenzel of Minnesota Lake, MN; Many nieces and nephews and their families; special friend, Eileen Flohrs of Minnesota Lake, MN; and many, many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don in 2006, 4 brothers: Walter, Louis, Charles and Wilfred; 2 brothers in infancy: Alfonse and Vincent; brother-in-law: Gary Erdner, and one nephew: Dennis Erdner. |
