January 20, 1933 - April 16, 2013
George Vincent Woitas of Minnesota Lake, MN went home with his savior on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his home surrounded by family. A celebration of life for George will be Friday, April 19, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service.
George was born January 20, 1933. The son of Watzef and Regina (Evan) Woitas in Danville Township, Faribault Co., MN. On June 25, 1957 he married Marcie Nowak. Then, on February 12, 1982 he married Ellie Dolan. He worked as a carpenter for 31 years, and for the city of Minnesota Lake. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Traveling, playing cards, gardening and mowing his yard.
He is survived by 7 children, Pat Dolan, Danny (Adra) Woitas, Brenda (Mike) Eggen, Susie (Buddy) Ross, Bruce (Mary) Woitas, Brian (Mary) Woitas, Jeff (Karen) Woitas. Sister RoseMary Leesch, Sister-in-law Katie Woitas, Brothers, his twin Gregory (MaryAnn) Woitas, Laurence (Jan) Woitas, Mike (Ruth) Woitas, Ray (Edie) Woitas. Brother-in-laws, Clyde (Barbara) Smith and Dennis (Gloria) Smith. Fifteen Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marcie, two brothers, Martin and John.
