Sarah married Phineas Brown esq. of Stockbridge, He was the son of Captain John and Hannah(Bemis)Brown. Both had been from Waltham Massachustts,(See Bond pp.124,140). After the death of Hannah, John married Elizabeth, the Widow of Timothy Roosster, and daughter of Sylvanus and Elizabeth ( Gramble) Backus of Windham, Connecticut. a descendant of William Bafckus, one of the first settlers kof Norwich, Connecticut, and of Governor William Bradford of the "Mayflower).
