William "Bill" Troska, age 70 of Wells, MN, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at his home in Wells, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 5-7 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. A prayer service will be at 7:00PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Fr. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells with Military honors presented by the Wells Color Guard. William Troska was born January 10, 1937, at the farm home in rural Wells, the son of Frank and Florence (Nowak) Troska. He married Lois Jensen on Oct. 8, 1960 in Albert Lea, MN. Bill farmed and worked as a carpenter for many years. He also was an over the road truck driver working for and meeting many people. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking, fishing, golf, bowling, gambling and travel. He spent a good deal of time looking at pictures of his great grandson Kade on the computer. He also enjoyed cooking his famous chicken on the grill and time spent with his family and his many friends. He is survived by: his wife Lois of 47 years; three daughters: Lynne (Forest) Curry of Albert Lea; Jennifer Cox of Frost; and Kimberly (Todd) Renville of Faribault; six grandchildren: Derek Armstrong, US Navy, stationed in SC; Danielle Armstrong (special friend Adam Morreim) of Albert Lea, Dustee Armstrong of Duluth; Matt Carson US Army, stationed in Germany; Jason Carson of St. Paul; and Rick Johnson of Glenville; one special great grandson: Kade Armstrong in SC. Two brothers: Raymond (Anne) Troska of Alden and Robert (Sue) Troska of Missouri; one sister: Catherine (John) Woitas of Minnesota Lake, and one sister-in-law: Nancy (Jack) Atkeson from Idaho. Special friends: Jim and Lynda Korman and Dave and Mary Loveless of Wells, many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, and one niece: Nancy Robling
