ISABELLE E. SALZMANN Isabelle E. Salzmann, 95, formerly of Kansas City, passed away on January 12, 2006 at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residential Care Center in Sedalia, MO. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 16 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, I-435 at Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the chapel. Isabelle was born on July 4, 1910 in Melrose Park, IL, to Gustav and Mary Busch Jeschke. She married Howard F. Salzmann on December 21, 1929. They moved to Denver, CO in January 1930 where they lived for 27 years. In 1957 they moved to Prairie Village, KS when Howard was transferred to the Kansas City area with AT&T. She moved to Sedalia, MO in October 2004 to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Isabelle was a homemaker. She was active in her church and volunteer work. She was a member of the Johnson County Home Extension and the Christian Woman's Club. She especially enjoyed reading, cooking, and her Bible study groups. Her husband, Howard, preceded Isabelle in death in 2000 after 72 years of marriage. Four sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving family are daughter and son-in-law, Muriel and Mark Snell of Sedalia, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ernie Quigley of Laguna Beach, CA; grandchildren, Roger and Katie Snell, Randy and Jeanne Snell, Roxanne and Gary Littlejohn, Sean and Valorie Quigley, Howard and Kim Quigley, Ken Quigley, Patrick Quigley, and Megan and Todd Breaux. She also leaves 11 greatgrandchildren, Ryan and wife, Jessica, BJ, and Chris Snell; Eric and Megan Snell; Ashley and Jeffrey Dougherty; Hailey Quigley; Cosmos Quigley; and Jack and Isabella Breaux. Isabelle was a beautiful Christian who dearly loved the Lord. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
