Services:Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna Marlen LeRoy Enser, 76, of Havana Township, Minnesota died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his home. He was born June 15, 1937 in Walters, Minnesota the son of Frank and Thekla (Meyer) Enser. He was a 1955 graduate of Kiester High School. Marlen married Phyllis Yost on January 28, 1959 at Mansfield Lutheran Church. They lived in the Kiester, Wells, and Bricelyn area. Phyllis died on December 17, 1970. Marlen moved to Owatonna in 1977. He married Kathleen Sorenson on June 15, 1985 at their home. Marlen worked at Viracon as a truck driver from 1977 to 2000 when he retired due to poor health. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and volunteer at bible camp. He was also a member of Claremont Chamber of Commerce and National Rifle Association. Marlen enjoyed fishing at Lake Koronis, hunting, camping, golfing, and woodworking. He loved his family and his dog, Snookers. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Enser of Havana Township; daughter, Jody (Ron) Wegner of Wells; son, Stacy (Sue) Enser of Owatonna; stepdaughter, Jenny (Ryan) Heinrichs of Jackson; 9 grandchildren, Britt (Kirstyn) Wegner, Blair (Lana) Wegner, Breanna Wegner, Alissa and Miranda Enser, Kendra Enser (fiancé, Joe Rivers), Colt, Carter, and Ashley Heinrichs; 3 great grandchildren, Bexley Wegner, Alex Mendez Enser, and Dominic Enser; brother, Dennis (Marie) Enser of Owatonna; father-in-law, Elmore Sorenson of Owatonna; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Enser of Conger, Joyce Lance of Houston, TX, Sharon (Bruce) Johnson of Owatonna, Bev (Odean) Ranes of Walters; brother-in-law, Ken (Alice) Sorenson of Owatonna; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Phyllis (Yost) Enser, brother, Franklin, 2 infant sons, and infant grandchild. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Youth Camperships.
