Lyle C. Johnson Oct 21, 2005 Lyle C. Johnson, 72, Longmont, died October 18, 2005, in Salida because of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. He was born July 14, 1933, in Freeborn County, Minnesota to Willis and Mildred (Thompson) Johnson. He graduated from Wells High School, Wells, Minn., in 1951. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army from March 1954 through February 1956. He married Beverly Blume in Delavan, Minn., Nov. 21, 1959. Mr. Johnson moved to Longmont in 1963 from Wells. He was a construction superintendent for many years until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Local Union 510. Mr. Johnson enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, camping and time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Alvin Johnson and Willis Johnson Jr. He is survived by his wife of Longmont; three sons, Lowell Johnson and wife, Karri, of Perham, Minn., Joel Johnson and wife, Ginni and Ronald Johnson and wife, Tammi of Longmont; two daughters, Linda Dulas and husband, Charles, of North Mankato, Minn. and Marlys (Molly) Spence and husband, Barry, of Salida; one sister, Phyllis White of Longmont; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his mother-in-law, Olivia Blume and a brother-in-law, Don Blume and his wife, Sharon, all of Spokane, Wash. and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 23, 2005, with family present to receive friends at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 24, 2005, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1000 W. 15th Ave., Longmont, with Reverend Matthew Bolz-Weber officiating. Interment will follow in Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
