John W. Nemmers
The Rosary will be recited for John W. Nemmers, 90, of 8705 W. 68th Place, Arvada, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in McConaty's Boulevard Mortuary, N. Federal and Speer Blvds. Mass of the Resurrection will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Shrine of St. Anne's Church, Webster St. and Grant Place, Arvada. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.
Nemmers died Friday in Ivy Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born July 29, 1880, in St. Donatus, Iowa, Nemmers was educated in Le Mars, Iowa public schools and married Margaret Ley in Le Mars in 1906. The couple moved to Denver in 1944. Mrs. Nemmers died in December 1965.
Nemmers was a member of Trinity Council Knights of Columbus No. 1466 in Le Mars and a member of the K. of C. 4th degree.
Survivors include two sons, C.C. and J. C., both of Denver; six daughters, Mrs. D.P. Campbell, Evergreen, Colo.; Mrs. Ray Amundsen, Mrs. Louis Angelo, and Mrs. James Cornett, all of Denver; Mrs. U. M. Adams, Marcellus, Mich., and Mrs. Eugene Puetz, Spencer, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Tentinger, Le Mars, Iowa; 32 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
